Job summary

St. Elizabeth Physicians is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical support to physicians and mid-level providers. You will take vital signs, prepare patients for exams, assist with procedures, and manage specimen collection and basic tests. Adhere to HIPAA/OSHA guidelines and ensure accuracy in patient charts.

The role requires hands-on clinical experience, completion of MA-related programs or certifications, and a commitment to patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year MA, CNA, PCA, STNA, or SEH Clinical Care Tech experience.
• Completion of MA program including hands-on externship.
• Completion of SEP Internship.
• Completion of EMT certification.
• Degree in Health or Biological Sciences inclusive of hands-on clinical patient care activities such as Athletic Trainer.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs and document in chart.
• Document patient history in chart.
• Prepare patient for exam and assist provider during examination.
• Perform nursing procedures under supervision.
• Collect laboratory specimens and perform basic tests.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by provider.
• Maintain logs and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Triage and process patient messages from front office staff to providers.
