Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Monday-Friday hour varies from 6:45am - 5:30pm. Float amongst 11 locations - float pool differential available.

Pay Range

$21.85 - $32.80

Job Description Summary:

Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. What You’ll Do:

As a Medical Assistant , you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.

As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:

• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.

About This Location:

Monday through Friday 6:45am- 5:30pm, hours vary depending on clinic needs.

Home clinic is Edgerton (Internal Med, Peds, Family Practice) but required travel to: St. Luke’s (Endocrinology), Six Points (Family Practice), HC Children’s Health, West Allis Pediatrics, Mayfair North Clinic (Internal Med), Mayfair South Clinic (Family Practice). Schedule posted 1-2 weeks in advance, subject to change.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
• Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
• Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
• Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
• Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
