Job summary

Trinity Health in Michigan is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in delivering patient-centered care in a clinic setting. You will be responsible for room preparation, vitals, EKGs, blood draws, injections, and in-office testing while assisting with administrative tasks to keep the visit flow smooth.

The role emphasizes collaboration with licensed professionals, ongoing patient interaction, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of accredited MA program and MA externship / internship, EMT or Paramedic program.
• Preferred: MA certification from CMA/RMA/NCMA/NRCMA/CCMA.

Description

Medical Assistants work in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care under the direction of licensed clinical professionals in a clinic or practice environment. MAs are expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience. Be the person that makes the difference every day in our patients’ lives.

What you will need

• Education- Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of accredited/approved: MA program and MA externship, MA internship, EMT, or Paramedic program.
• Credentials/Licensure (Preferred): Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following certifying agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) American Medical Technologists (RMA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) National Healthcareer Association (CCMA) National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA) American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
• Related Experience- Minimum: In absence of completed MA Program/Externship/Internship, must have 2+ years clinical experience providing clinical support in community-based clinic and be subject to standardized testing and evaluation of clinical skills.
• Preferred: New graduate or 1 or more years of previous clinical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
