Shifts: Monday - Friday, either 9:00AM - 5:30PM or 12:00PM - 8:00PM
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to support a busy healthcare team by providing high-quality clinical assistance, maintaining efficient patient flow, and supporting providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and comfortable working collaboratively with Registered Nurses, physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.
Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs, promptly reporting abnormal findings to the Registered Nurse.
Room patients for providers and coordinate patient flow to support efficient clinic operations.
Perform accurate and timely data entry and clinical documentation within the electronic healthcare record (EHR).
Administer vaccines and other IM/SubQ medications as authorized and directed.
Complete point-of-care sample collection, including phlebotomy and specimen collection.
Assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners with examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed.
Prepare exam rooms, supplies, and instruments for examinations and minor procedures.
Perform ordered clinical procedures, including:
Accurately document all patient care activities, procedures, treatments, and interventions in the EHR.
Maintain appropriate infection-control practices and ensure exam rooms and clinical areas are properly stocked and prepared.
Communicate effectively with patients and members of the healthcare team to ensure safe, coordinated, and patient-centered care.
Medical Assistant education, certification, or registration as required by the facility and/or state.
Previous hands-on Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting required.
Demonstrated experience with vital signs, phlebotomy, injections/vaccinations, EKGs, wound care, and point-of-care testing.
Experience working with electronic healthcare records and accurately documenting patient care.
Ability to recognize and appropriately elevate abnormal findings to the Registered Nurse or provider.
Strong communication, organizational, and patient-service skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment.
