Job summary

Guadalupe Regional Medical Center is seeking Medical Assistants or Licensed Vocational Nurses to work under a physician's supervision. You will interview patients, prepare them for exams, measure vitals, and document in the EHR system.

You will also prepare examination rooms, assist with procedures, sterilize instruments, administer injections, and coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care for patients.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Certified Medical Assistant or LVN licensure or current Texas Board licensure.
• Maintains American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider.
• 1–2 years physician office experience preferred.
• Experience scheduling surgeries and obtaining insurance authorizations preferred.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and visitors.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and insurance.

Scope of Responsibility
