Job summary

Guadalupe Regional Medical Center in Seguin, TX is seeking Medical Assistants and/or Licensed Vocational Nurses to work under a physician's supervision. You will interview patients, prepare them for exams, take vital signs, and document in the EHR.

You will assist physicians, prepare rooms, and sterilize instruments as part of routine care. The role requires High School education or equivalent, Texas LVN licensure or MA certification, BLS, and prior office experience preferred.

Scope of Responsibility

Medical Assistants and/or Licensed Vocational Nurses perform duties under the supervision of a physician. Education, Training and Experience

• High School Education or equivalent
• Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent years of experience or Current Licensure with The Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners
• Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider
• 1 to 2 years previous physician's office experience preferred
• Experience scheduling surgeries and getting insurance benefits with authorizations preferred
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of employees, management, visitors and outside sources
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license and current insurance coverage
