Job summary

Compass Health Network is hiring a Medical Assistant or LPN for our Primary Care team in Saint Charles. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm schedule and a retention bonus of $1,500 for Medical Assistants and $2,500 for Nurses.

You will prepare patients for exams, take vitals and histories, perform venipuncture, EKGs and immunizations, educate patients on treatments, and support providers with procedures and referrals in a fast‑paced, patient‑centered clinic.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification or 1 year of CHN internal course experience required.
• Practical Nursing certificate required if Nurse LPN.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and equipment preferred.
• Microsoft Office knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing patients for exams and treatments, including taking vitals and medical histories.
• Performing procedures such as venipuncture, EKGs, urinalysis, and immunizations.
• Maintaining clean and well-stocked exam rooms and sterilizing medical equipment.
• Educating patients on medications, treatments, and preventive health practices.
• Assisting providers with minor procedures and physicals.
• Managing referrals, test scheduling, patient records, and supply inventory.
• Following all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines (CLIA, OSHA, etc.).
• Collaborating with patients and the care team to ensure a smooth and supportive experience.
• Additional Responsibilities for LPNs Include: triage medical questions, monitor HIT tools, hospital discharge follow-ups, nursing consultant to care team, collaborate with providers on health information.
