Job summary

Dermatology Consultants, PA in Minnesota seeks a Medical Assistant or LPN to join a growing private dermatology practice with 23 providers across four East Metro clinic locations. The Medical Assistant/LPN collaborates with the provider on the patient care team, assisting with procedures, EMR scribing, and caring for patients throughout visits.

The role includes rooming patients, supporting cosmetic procedures, and performing phlebotomy and other clinical tasks in a fast paced, patient‑centric

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Practical Nursing program with CMA/RMA or LPN certification.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multi-task and provide warm, professional patient care.
• EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct assistance to provider with surgical and medical procedures.
• Room patients and scribe for the provider in EMR.
• Perform injections, phlebotomy, specimen handling, scheduling and patient education.

The Medical Assistant or LPN collaborates with the provider on the patient care team. Responsibilities include a variety of hands‑on patient care duties including assisting with patient flow, assisting the provider, assisting in cosmetic procedures, surgery assisting, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) scribing, lab duties, and phlebotomy.

Starting Pay Range:

• $22-$28.50 per hour

Duties:

• Provide direct assistance to provider with surgical and medical procedures such as surgery, excisions, biopsies, wart treatment, cosmetic services etc.
• Room patients and stay with patient throughout visit to scribe for provider in EMR system
• Perform clinical and administrative duties including injections, phlebotomy, instrument cleaning, specimen handling, phone calls, scheduling, and patient education

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Practical Nursing Program with a current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA or LPN) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment
• Ability to multi-task and to provide services to patients in a warm and professional manner
• EMR experience

Schedule: Full-time, 32 hours/week, Monday – Thursday, day shifts
