Job summary

Dermatology Consultants PC in Minnesota is seeking a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our patient-care team. You will assist providers with surgical and medical procedures, manage patient flow, and contribute to cosmetic services, EMR scribing, and phlebotomy.

This is an on-site, full-time role with a Monday–Friday day schedule. Eligibility requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Practical Nursing program and current CMA/RMA/LPN certification or ability to

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Practical Nursing Program with a current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA or LPN) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months
• EMR experience
• Ability to multi-task and provide services to patients in a warm and professional manner

Responsibilities

• Provide direct assistance to provider with surgical and medical procedures
• Room patients and stay with patient throughout visit to scribe for provider in EMR system
• Perform clinical and administrative duties including injections, phlebotomy, instrument cleaning, specimen handling, phone calls, scheduling, and patient education

The Medical Assistant or LPN collaborates with the provider on the patient care team. Responsibilities include a variety of hands‑on patient care duties including assisting with patient flow, assisting the provider, assisting in cosmetic procedures, surgery assisting, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) scribing, lab duties, and phlebotomy.

Duties

• Provide direct assistance to provider with surgical and medical procedures such as surgery, excisions, biopsies, wart treatment, cosmetic services etc.
• Room patients and stay with patient throughout visit to scribe for provider in EMR system
• Perform clinical and administrative duties including injections, phlebotomy, instrument cleaning, specimen handling, phone calls, scheduling, and patient education

Minimum Education Required

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Practical Nursing Program with a current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA or LPN) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months

Minimum Experience Required

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment
• Ability to multi-task and to provide services to patients in a warm and professional manner
• EMR experience
