Job summary

Elliot Health System is seeking Medical Assistants to support providers in clinical areas from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Candidates will assist with patient examinations, procedures, and documentation, while helping with administrative duties per JCAHO, CLIA, NCQA and company standards.

Requirements include HS diploma or GED and MA program completion (externship accepted) or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification. 1 year of healthcare experience is preferred; BLS within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited MA Program or MA Training Program with externship.
• 1 year of relevant healthcare experience; CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs visit chart preparation with daily appointments and reports.
• Performs rooming activities with chief complaint, allergies, vitals, and documentation.
• Obtains and documents vital signs, height, weight, and pulse oximetry.
• Collects and processes specimens using proper procedures.
• Handles medication refills per guidelines via telephonic, electronic or print.
• Maintains clinical supplies and samples with par levels.
