Job summary

Waccamaw Dermatology in Litchfield/Pawleys Island, SC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a dermatology care team in providing excellent patient experiences. You will greet patients, prepare exam rooms, assist with procedures and document visits in the EMR while delivering safe, compassionate care.

The role requires MA or EMT certification, high-volume clinical experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must have Medical Assistant certification through an accredited training program or EMT certification.
• Medical Assistant or equivalent experience in a high-volume medical setting.
• Ability to read, write and understand medical terminology.
• Strong patient-service and communication skills.
• Ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced environment.
• EMR/EHR experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Enjoys working directly with patients.
• Communicates clearly and professionally.
• Willing to learn skin care.
• Can balance multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Brings a positive, energetic and team-oriented attitude.
• Is comfortable working independently while collaborating with the clinical team.
