Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care in Houston seeks a Medical Assistant to support Providers and Radiologic Technologists, handling patient care, organization, and communication. The role includes performing limited capacity x-rays and reporting findings to clinicians, contributing to a seamless patient experience.

LMRT program graduate is required, High School diploma or equivalent, and BLS at hire. Competitive hourly rate with a monthly incentive bonus and benefits for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

In a collaborative manner, the Medical Assistant will provide support to the Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologist, and patients through a variety of tasks, including but not limited to patient care management, organization, and communication. This role is responsible for performing limited capacity x-rays for patients and reporting results to Medical Providers.

Hourly Rate: $21.50- $29.50

Bonus: Monthly incentive bonus based on performance metrics

Job Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Graduate of a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT)Program required

Work Experience

• Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Experience performing X-rays preferred

Certifications:

One of the following certifications ispreferred in addition to LMRT:

CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National Health career Association) CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistant) RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists) NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing) NRCMA – Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (verified through the National Association for Health Professionals)

Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
