Memorial Hermann-GoHealth Urgent Care Management, LLC seeks a Medical Assistant to support providers, radiology staff, and patients at GoHealth Urgent Care centers in the Houston area. The role includes patient care management, organization, and clear communication to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The ideal candidate has LMRT certification or is LMRT‑eligible, a high school diploma, and experience with medical assisting or X-ray procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• LMRT program required; radiologic experience preferred.
• Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Experience performing X-rays preferred.
• Certifications: CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, or NRCMA preferred.

In a collaborative manner, the Medical Assistant will provide support to the Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologist, and patients through a variety of tasks, including but not limited to patient care management, organization, and communication.

This role is responsible for performing limited capacity x‑rays for patients and reporting results to Medical Providers. The Medical Assistant completes all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner while living our vision and mission to become the urgent care Partner of choice by re‑defining value and access to quality care through an effortless experience, a culture of care, and seamlessly integrating with our partners and communities.

Hourly Rate: $21.50- $29.50 Bonus: Monthly incentive bonus based on performance metrics

Job Requirements

• Education High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Graduate of a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT)Program required
• Work Experience Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Experience performing X-rays preferred
• Certifications: One of the following certifications is preferred in addition to LMRT: CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National Health career Association) CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistant) RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists) NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing) NRCMA – Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (verified through the National Association for Health Professionals)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire.
