Job summary

Spectrum Medical Care Center is seeking a Medical Assistant in Phoenix, AZ to support the clinical team with direct patient care and administrative duties. You will assist providers during examinations, manage EMR-based documentation, and maintain a safe, organized care environment for a smooth patient experience.

Requirements include a high school diploma, ability to perform injections, vaccines, EKGs, and basic lab tasks, plus a patient-centered approach attentive to LGBTQ+ and HIV care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in clinical settings and EMR systems preferred.
• Strong communication and cultural competency essential.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between patient and providers.
• Verify patient information and document medical history in EMR.
• Prepare patients for examinations with basic tests and document findings.
• Assist with injections, vaccines, and pap smears.
• Perform EKGs, Spirometry, and related testing as directed.
• Maintain clean, safe care environment and assist with follow-ups.
