Job summary

Low Country Cancer Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in the office, perform phlebotomy, lab testing and quality control, and maintain equipment and records. You will collect vital signs and document results in the EMR system, while coordinating specimen handling and outside testing as required.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and at least one year of clinic experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• BLS certification required.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations.
• One-year experience as a medical assistant in clinic or physician's office.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures in office.
• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory testing.
• Record vital signs and patient information in EMR.
• Maintain quality control logs and instrument maintenance.
• Prepare specimens and send outside labs as needed.
• Document in medical records and charge patient encounters.
