Job summary

Kaua'i Medical Clinic, part of Hawaii Pacific Health, is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Cardiology Neurology department. You will perform diverse patient care tasks for adults, supporting a dedicated team of physicians and staff. The clinic emphasizes high-quality care across multiple locations on Kauai.

Role is Day shifts, 8 hours, Full Time Temporary with 1.0 FTE. EOE/AA/Disabled/Vets and a comprehensive rewards package apply to selected candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with AAMA/AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS CPR card.
• Must be able to complete departmental competency assessment by orientation period.

Job description

Kaua'i Medical Clinic is the island’s largest clinic and only multispecialty medical group. More than 85 physicians and midlevel providers offer primary and specialty care at clinic locations in Eleele, Kapaa, Koloa and Lihue. Our Cardiology Neurology technologists are trained in the latest digital cardiology and meridians practices to provide care for adults with heart-related diseases and conditions. The Cardiology Neurology team at Kaua'i Medical Clinic offers a full range of adult, non-invasive cardiovascular services, such as stress testing, echocardiography and pacemaker monitoring. Kaua'i residents can also benefit from having their diagnostic and/or interventional (stent) cardiac catheterization performed at Straub Clinic & Hospital, and doctors on either island can view medical and testing information to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient cardiac care.

As a Medical Assistant in our Cardiology Neurology department, you will form part of the dedicated team of physicians and medical staff that provide caring, thorough health services to our patients and their families. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities to clients of all ages. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and attentive, with strong communications and patient care skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i’s people.
