Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Complete an accredited medical assistant program or be CMA/CCMA/RMA certified.
• Must obtain CMA/RMA within 6 months of hire; Vocational Coordinator approval may apply.
• Strong personal interaction and confidentiality are essential.

Responsibilities

• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire/transfer.
• Provide clinical support and nursing functions under a physician’s direction.
• Demonstrate problem solving and prioritization in patient care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and effective communication with staff.
• Input and retrieve data from EMR; work in a team of healthcare professionals.
• Assist with examinations, specimen collection, and routine testing.
• Schedule tests and procedures; manage inventory and supplies.
