Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Medical Assistant program or comparable healthcare education program with similar clinical training.
• Candidates with fewer than six months of Medical Assistant experience must have completed a minimum of 160 hours of clinical externship or equivalent practicum.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, manages patient flow and obtains medical information/data.
• Collects and documents patient information and vital signs in EMR.
• Assists with preparing patients for physician exams and provides psycho-emotional support.
• Obtains specimens, supports lab/imaging results, and communicates with the care team.
• Performs patient care tasks, injections, and assists with procedures as delegated.
