Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Medical Assistant for Internal Medicine on a 40-hour day shift. You will greet patients, document histories, record vital signs, and assist providers during examinations to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Requirements include a high school diploma or G.E.D. and graduation from a Medical Assistant program with externship OR equivalent experience; BLS-C upon hire; EPIC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with 160-hour externship OR equivalent clinical experience.
• Current BLS-C on hire or by end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms.
• Obtain and document accurate medical histories.
• Measure and record vital signs.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Perform administrative tasks to support the clinical team.
