Job summary

CommonSpirit Health’s YRMC in Prescott is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the clinical team and keep daily operations running smoothly for patients.

You will proactively prepare patient charts and ensure information is up to date for patients seen in our facility, with multiple patients daily depending on physicians on-site. The role emphasizes empathy, efficiency, and collaborative care.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Medical Assistant certificate or completion of a US Armed Forces medical services training program.
• Computer program utilized for checking-in and scheduling patients.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Maintains hospital standards of zero tolerance for mislabeled specimens and collects laboratory specimens according to hospital protocol.
• Assists the nurse/physician during examinations, treatments and procedures as requested.
• Retrieves necessary equipment and supplies.
• Assists in patient/equipment preparation.
• Performs follow-up actions as directed.
• Documents clinically relevant findings in the patient's record according to hospital protocols and clinical protocols.

As our Medical Assistant, you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Graduate or GED
• Medical Assistant certificate or completion of a US Armed Forces medical services training program

  • Basic Life Support -(BLS)

Preferred

• Previous Medical Assistant Experience
• Electronic Medical Record EMR experience
• Experience in designated specialty area
• Bilingual skills
