Job summary

Quinault Wellness Center seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to join a collaborative care team on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula. You will support examinations, perform phlebotomy, manage phlebotomy and lab tasks, and assist with injections and wound care, while safeguarding patient privacy.

Located in western Washington, the center offers culturally responsive care across primary care, behavioral health, and recovery services, contributing to healthier, more stable lives.

Qualifications

• WA state license in good standing is required.
• Minimum of 1 year phlebotomy experience or formal training.
• Knowledge of primary care, mental health, and addiction medicine is preferred.
• Experience with EHR systems and healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and room patients with a respectful, supportive approach.
• Document vital signs accurately and prepare rooms for examinations.
• Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect blood samples as directed.
• Conduct routine laboratory and diagnostic testing; perform EKGs.
• Administer injections and wound care per provider guidance.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient privacy.
• Coordinate referrals and aid patients with scheduling services.
