Job summary

Unitek College of nursing invites applications for a Nursing Instructor to educate and advise students while advancing the college’s educational mission. The role emphasizes clinical proficiency, student mentorship, and engagement across teaching modalities.

The instructor will deliver prepared lessons, monitor learning outcomes, and collaborate with campus staff to support retention and success initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma; advanced education or college degree preferred but will consider candidates with equivalent experience
• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant (RMA, CMA, NRCMA) preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide fully prepared instruction meeting learning outcomes and offer academic advising
• Active retention activities and support for program and institutional initiatives
• Educate and provide technological and academic training to students
• Design and carry out a lesson plan for each class taught with accommodations for learner differences
• Mentor a diverse student population and monitor progress
• Refer students to campus director or student services as needed
• Provide ongoing student advisement and academic counseling
• Use varied evaluation methods (cooperative learning, reports, team work)
• Participate in academic committees for program and student life enrichment
• Comply with state, department of education, and accreditation regulations
