Job summary

The Milan Institute seeks a knowledgeable Medical Assistant Instructor to join our allied health faculty. You will deliver comprehensive instruction, design engaging lesson plans, supervise lab work, and mentor students toward becoming competent medical assistants.

Part-time schedule with day and evening hours, including partial remote work. Requires CMA or RMA preferred, at least 3 years in practice, and strong communication and teaching abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CMA or RMA credentials preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a practicing medical assistant.
• Prior teaching/training experience is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with medical assisting principles and industry standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for student engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives.
• Provide theory and practical instruction in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, clinical procedures, patient care, and office administration.
• Demonstrate proper techniques, safety practices, and ethical standards in medical assisting.
• Create an inclusive learning environment supporting student growth.
• Supervise and guide students during labs, simulations, and clinical practice.
• Assess student progress through evaluations and practical assessments.
• Provide feedback to support professional development and clinical skills.
• Stay up-to-date with current medical practices and industry trends.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and program improvements.
