Medical Assistant Instructor

MEDICAL ASSISTANT – INSTRUCTOR – 2-5 MORNINGS/WEEK - M-F

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to become a fully trained instructor for our morning classes, 2-5 days per week. Classes run Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, totaling 9-22.5 hours/week.

Ross Education Holdings, Inc.’s non-profit secondary education centers aim to equip students with the tools to become essential healthcare professionals.

We are looking for experienced Medical Assistants to become fully trained instructors for year-round classes, serving as Primary Scheduled Instructors and Secondary Instructors to step in as needed for teaching assistants and substitutes. Our classes operate throughout the year.

Medical Assistant Instructor duties include:
  • Teaching in the Medical Assisting classroom with up to 24 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
  • Conducting class sessions of 4.5 hours, available in day or evening shifts.
  • Learning the curriculum and delivering lectures and demonstrations based on Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
  • This is a part-time position, typically involving 9-27 hours per week.

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in medical assisting and formal training from an accredited institution. Must obtain a national certification as a medical assistant. For those without formal education, a minimum of 5 years of experience in the medical field and a national certification are required. Additional requirements may vary based on state, program, and accreditation standards.
  • Interest in teaching or prior teaching experience.
  • Flexibility and a passion for learning and growth.
