Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in the medical assisting field.
• Must be able to obtain a national certification as medical assistant.
• Individuals without a formal education must have 5+ years’ experience in the medical field and a national certification.
• Interest in teaching or prior teaching/tutoring experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the Medical Assisting classroom with a maximum of 24 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
• Deliver lectures and demonstrations using Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
• Sessions are 4.5 hours, day or evening, with a typical 9–18 hours per week.
• Serve as Primary or Secondary Instructor and assist as needed for substitutes/PRN.
