Job Description
This position will provide fully prepared current instruction that meets desired learning outcomes, academic advising, and career-related counseling to students. The role involves actively engaging in retention activities and supporting program and institutional initiatives.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, on campus in Fremont, CA
Responsibilities:
- Educate and provide technological and academic training to students
- Ensure students are aware of the competencies necessary for all objectives in the syllabus
- Design and carry out lesson plans for each class, recognizing students’ abilities and learning styles, and providing accommodations for individual differences
- Exhibit World Class Service when working with students and coworkers
- Identify signs of problems that may inhibit student achievement and take appropriate action
- Refer students to campus director or student services to address issues affecting achievement
- Identify and refer students who are “at risk” of leaving the course to student services
- Provide ongoing student advisement and academic counseling
- Use various evaluation methods (cooperative learning, reports, teamwork) to support student abilities
- Participate in academic committees aimed at enriching programs and student life
- Support company initiatives by following established processes and procedures
- Work and communicate effectively with campus staff
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Comply with State, Department of Education, and accreditation regulations
Compensation: $30 - $37/hr

Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma required; advanced education or college degree preferred
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (RMA, CMA, NRCMA) preferred
Experience/Skills:
- At least 3 years of hands-on clinical experience as a medical assistant
- Current knowledge of Medical Assistant practices
- Ability to mentor a diverse student population
- Ability to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with LMS such as Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, oral presentation, and communication skills
