Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for Mountain Medical Associates in Clyde, NC. This full-time role supports providers with patient assessments, basic procedures, and clerical duties in a multispecialty clinic.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, BLS within 90 days of hire, and strong clinical and administrative capabilities. A background in medical terminology is preferred and prior medical office experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification (AHA) within 90 days of hire.
• Must demonstrate critical thinking and decisive judgment; able to work with minimal supervision.
• Previous medical office experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under provider supervision, assist with patient assessments and treatments.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection; monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Document patient care provided and maintain examination areas.
• Maintain equipment and medical supplies; stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Perform administrative duties including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
• Complete other tasks as delegated by leads or Market Director.
