CoxHealth in Branson, MO is seeking an MA III to provide administrative and clinical support in a busy ambulatory clinic at Branson Hills.

The role includes answering phones, scheduling, data entry, taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams and assisting with medication administration under supervision. Strong communication and computer skills are essential, with CoxHealth-certifications required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from a formal MA training program with pharmacology, anatomy/physiology and med administration.
• Clinical externship completed or in place by start date.

Responsibilities

Clinical duties will include measuring and recording vital signs, collecting demographics or medical information including review of medication list, preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms and equipment and stocking supplies. This position will involve the administration of medications.Education: Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required effective 9/1/20: Graduated from or Completion of a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, the basics of medication administration, and completion of a clinical externship.Experience: Required: None Preferred: Previous experience in work that involved direct contact with people Preferred: Previous experience in health care setting, particularly in an ambulatory clinic settingSkills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Carry out delegated tasks under supervision of a provider.
