Job summary

CoxHealth's Nixa clinic seeks an MA III to support administrative and clinical tasks in a busy ambulatory setting. You will handle scheduling, data entry, and phone duties, while participating in patient intake, vital signs, medication reviews, and exam prep.

The role requires completing an MA program with pharmacology and externship, plus strong communication and computer skills. Day shift, 40 hours weekly, on-site at CoxHealth Center Nixa.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal MA training program including pharmacology and externship.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to carry out delegated tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in medical records under supervision.
• Clinical duties include measuring vital signs, collecting demographics, reviewing medication lists, preparing patients for examination, and stocking supplies.
• Administer medications as part of clinical care when required; maintain room cleanliness and equipment; ensure supplies are stocked.

Clinical duties will include measuring and recording vital signs, collecting demographics or medical information including review of medication list, preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms and equipment and stocking supplies. This position will involve the administration of medications.Education: Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required effective 9/1/20: Graduated from or Completion of a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, the basics of medication administration, and completion of a clinical externship.Experience: Required: None Preferred: Previous experience in work that involved direct contact with people Preferred: Previous experience in health care setting, particularly in an ambulatory clinic settingSkills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
