Job summary

University Hospitals in Sandusky, OH seeks a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting. You will help room patients, record vitals, document in the EMR, assist providers, and promote efficient patient flow while maintaining patient-centered care.

• Responsible for all front desk duties specific to department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation.
• Performs patient centered care delegated by Provider
• Provides a safe environment for patients
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain PHI for our patients. Annual training, UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
