Emanate Health's EH Family Practice – Glendora is seeking a Medical Assistant II for the Primary Care Clinic. This full-time role supports the provider, prepares patients for exams, takes vital signs and assists with procedures in a busy outpatient setting.

The position requires completion of a Medical Assistant program or a high school diploma with relevant experience; bilingual Spanish preferred. Strong phlebotomy, lab terminology, customer service and computer skills are important.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or 1-2 years of MA experience in lieu of diploma; Medical Assistant Program required.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred and strong customer service skills.
• Three to five years in a healthcare setting preferred; phlebotomy techniques and medical terminology required; computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for provider exam, take vital signs, record patient history and assist in office procedures.
• Administer treatment, medications and injections as ordered.
• Conduct pre-visit planning by reviewing/updating charts with recent test results.
• Call patients regarding test results as instructed by the provider.
• Perform blood collection by venipuncture/arterial puncture; participate in data entry and specimen processing.
