Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and nurses in patient care encounters within a team environment. You will collect clinical information, perform point-of-care testing, and ensure exam rooms are ready with supplies for visits and procedures.

You will administer immunizations and medications within scope, complete documentation in the EMR, and help with examinations and follow-up care per provider instructions. Basic Life Support is required at hire.

Qualifications

• 1000 hours of back-office experience within 1 year.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent per listed options.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Supports providers and nurses during patient care encounters.
• Completes point of care testing.
• Administers in-scope immunizations and medications as ordered.
• Documents patient care and education in the electronic medical record.
• Assists with examinations, including positioning and draping.
