Qualifications

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with patients and healthcare team.
• Back-office experience is required (1000 hours within 1 year).
• Basic Life Support required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Kaiser Permanente policies and laws.
• Completes patient intake including vital signs and screenings.
• Identifies care gaps and schedules visits or procedures.
• Prepares consent, school, and work forms for provider review.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean and stocked for visits/procedures.
• Completes point of care testing.
• Administers in-scope immunizations and medications with VIS.
• Assists practitioners during examinations and minor procedures.
• Documents patient care and education in the EMR.
• Participates in Unit Based Team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
• May perform other in-scope duties as assigned.
