Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• 1+ years of experience in a physician's office, clinic, or hospital setting.
• Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems (Epic, Athena, Cerner, or equivalent).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
• Certified in EKG or phlebotomy procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, infection control and safety standards.

Aufgaben

• Take comprehensive patient intakes, including vital signs, histories, and medication reviews.
• Assist providers during examinations, minor procedures, wound care, and diagnostics.
• Perform EKGs, immunizations, and specimen collection.
• Prepare, label, and process lab samples and point-of-care tests.
• Maintain infection control and equipment calibration.
• Support care coordination and patient triage across settings.
• Document clinical data accurately in the EHR.
• Schedule and track appointments, referrals, and test results.
• Verify insurance coverage and assist with authorizations/billing.
