Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK is hiring a part-time Medical Assistant II. The role supports patient care under a licensed practitioner and requires MA experience with clinical skills, BLS certification, and completion of accredited training.

The MA II will perform duties from the MA I level in accordance with clinic policies and procedures, ensuring patient safety and quality care at our hospital location.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited medical assisting program with hands-on clinical training.
• Graduate of registered medical assistant apprenticeship program.
• Completed 2 years of medical training in the US Armed Forces.
• Minimum 1 year of MA work experience including vital signs, injections, and medication administration.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 6 months Healthcare experience.
• 6 months Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care under the delegation of a licensed practitioner.
• Perform MA I duties and be fully competent in clinical needs for assigned clinic/location.
• Follow established policies, procedures and regulations.
