Qualifications

• 1000 hours of back office experience within 1 year
• Health career school diploma required
• Basic Life Support certification required

Responsibilities

• Assist the provider with examinations and procedures as directed
• Maintain sterile technique and prep for procedures
• Explain standard self-care procedures as directed by the provider
• Position and drape patients and pass instruments in a sterile manner
• Assist with diagnostic/therapeutic procedures (e.g., sigmoidoscopy, cystoscopy, biopsy, lumbar puncture) under supervision
• Prepare treatment room and equipment and sign expected forms and orders
• Communicate effectively with patients and health team; document actions in the chart
• Perform basic lab tests (dip-stix) as directed
• Ensure a clean, safe work environment and participate in staff meetings
