Job summary

Washington University Medical Campus is seeking a Medical Assistant II to prepare exam rooms, obtain vital signs, and assist with examinations and procedures. The role includes administering vaccines under physician orders and supporting care coordination in a busy clinic.

The ideal candidate has a Medical Assistant certification (NHA/AAMA/AMT) with in-person proctored exams, BLS, and strong HIPAA/OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant credential from NHA, AAMA or AMT with in-person proctored exam.
• BLS certification required; online certifications without skills assessment not sufficient.
• Six-month post-hire credential completion or per HR guidance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain exam rooms and patient charts; support patient flow.
• Obtain vital signs, perform EKGs, and assist with phlebotomy.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, injections and vaccines.
• Route communications and coordinate with care team; schedule tests and follow-ups.
