Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• BLS Certification and CMA certification preferred; data conversion issued by various issuers.
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, privacy regulations, and EHR usage.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare necessary equipment.
• Record medical history and test results in medical records.
• Perform general office duties (phones, dictation, insurance forms).
• Liaise with departments and advocate for patients with strong customer service.
• Collect blood and other specimens and log for testing.
• Prepare treatment rooms, keep them clean and stocked.
• Sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
