Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required or Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred.
• Licenses: BLS Certification and CMA certification preferred.
• Experience: Direct MA or medical field work 1–2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and vital signs.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare equipment.
• Record medical history and vitals in medical records.
• Answer phones, take dictation, complete insurance forms.
• Liaise with departments and advocate for patients with a positive service approach.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other specimens and prepare for testing.
• Prepare treatment rooms, stock supplies, and maintain cleanliness.
• Sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
