Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside seeks a Medical Assistant II to provide both clinical and administrative support across multiple offices in Manhattan, with travel to Bronxville on Mondays. The role is 85% front desk and administrative, with the remainder clinical duties for two Vascular Surgeons.

The MA II will accompany patients, perform venipuncture and EKGs, input orders in EMR, assist physicians, manage supplies, and help mentor Level I staff as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with Medical Assistant training certificate.
• 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Certification: Medical Assistant certificate from an approved school; BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and/or EKGs, check schedules, manage patient flow and assist patients with walking, transfers and dressing.
• Enter orders into EMR and prepare prescription refill requests for provider approval.
• Inventory and restock medical supplies; set up examination rooms and ensure sterilization standards.

High School Diploma/GED with completion of Training Certificate from an approved Medical Assistant certificate course
