Job summary

CVHS Health Services in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant or Allied Health professional to support a high-volume practice. The role covers pediatric to geriatric care, accurate inventory, and assisting clinicians with nursing procedures under the Nursing Procedure Manual.

You should have completed an accredited Medical Assistant or Allied Health program, and may hold national certification; CPR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Allied Health Training program.
• Certification achieved by passing a National exam from a program other than the MA school.
• Proof of recertification, if applicable.
• One year’s experience in a health facility, preferred.
• Current CPR certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate inventory of medical supplies; assists in the selection of division equipment and supplies.
• Performs nursing procedures as directed by the clinician according to the Nursing Procedure Manual.
• May be assigned lab duties.
• Assists in quality assurance and control.
• Participates in the continuing educational process.
• Assists in the efficient flow of patients.
• Attends work as scheduled.
