Job summary

Southeast Primary Care Partners seeks an experienced Medical Assistant II to provide full clinical and administrative support across its Chattanooga-area clinics. You will prepare and room patients, document vitals and health history, assist physicians with examinations and procedures, set up tests, and help maintain a clean, patient-ready environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification/registration through a recognized credentialing body required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Demonstrated MA I competency or equivalent ambulatory medical‑assistant experience.
• Completion of competency assessments within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• Participation in the Medical Assistant Career Ladder training as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients; obtain vitals and health history.
• Support physicians with examinations and in‑office procedures within training and policy.
• Set up EKGs and testing; collect specimens and perform point‑of‑care testing as allowed.
• Administer immunizations when permitted and trained.
• Prepare rooms and equipment; maintain a safe, organized patient‑ready environment.
• Receive and route calls; update medical records with patient information.
• Support referrals, prior authorizations, lab coordination, and other workflows.
• Ensure forms and consents are completed; safeguard patient confidentiality.
