Job summary

Southeast Primary Care Partners is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant II to provide full clinical and administrative support in its Chattanooga, Dalton, and Lafayette clinics. The role includes patient preparation, vital signs, EKGs, immunizations, and medication administration as allowed by policy.

The position also covers inventory control, onboarding, competency support, and daily quality assurance to ensure efficient patient flow and adherence to clinical standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification/registration—AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or RMA.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated MA I competencies or equivalent ambulatory experience.
• Complete competency assessments within 90 days of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients; document vital signs and health history.
• Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Set up EKGs and collect specimens; perform point-of-care testing as allowed.
• Administer immunizations and injections per policy and training.
• Prepare rooms and maintain clean, organized, patient-ready spaces.
• Manage calls, referrals, authorizations, and lab coordination.
• Support onboarding, training, and competency evaluation of new MAs.
