Job summary

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistants program per CA Medical Board required (diploma within 90 days).
• On-the-job training as Medical Assistant at Sutter Health acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and clerical support to providers and patient care team.
• Assist with back office tasks and patient flow to support delivery of care.
• Explain medical plans and educate patients and families as directed by clinicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation and operate within established procedures.
