Job summary

Central Virginia Health Services (CVHS) seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (MA II) for our Prince George, VA location. This full-time role supports the clinical team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Salary ranges between $18.15 and $23.80 per hour. Schedule: Monday–Friday; Location: Prince George, VA. The MA II will assist with nursing tasks, maintain supplies, and contribute to efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• Accredited Medical Assistant or Allied Health program completed.
• National certification from a program other than MA school.
• Proof of recertification, if applicable.
• One year experience in a health facility preferred.
• Current CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing procedures as directed by the clinician.

Central Virginia Health Services (CVHS) is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA II) to join our team at our CVHS Hopewell Prince George office. This position supports our clinical team in providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Schedule: Monday–Friday Location: Prince George, VA

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Performs tasks pertinent to age of patient (infancy to geriatric)
• Maintains accurate inventory of medical supplies; assists in the selection of division equipment and supplies.
• Performs all nursing procedures (with the exception of certain injections, triage, IVs and IV medications) as directed by the clinician according to the guidelines in the Nursing Procedure Manual.
• May be assigned lab duties
• Assists in quality assurance and control.
• Participates in the continuing educational process.
• Assists in the efficient flow of patients.
• Attends work as scheduled.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Allied Health Training program
• Certification achieved by passing a National exam from a program other than the MA school.
• Proof of re-certification, if applicable
• One year’s experience in a health facility, preferred.
• Current CPR certification, preferred.
