Job summary

Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group seeks a Medical Assistant to support pulmonary clinic operations in Kankakee. You will assist physicians with patient care, perform clerical and organizational tasks, and maintain charts and schedules.

The role requires on-site work, a high school diploma (or equivalent), a Medical Assistant certification if available, and a current BLS certification. Prior health-care experience is preferred, and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
• Facility: Prime Healthcare Medical Group
• Location: 455 W Court St, Suite 406, Kankakee IL

Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Provides Information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. Conveys a positive image of organization.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required for new hires effective April 2014.

2. Medical Assistant Certification perferred.

3. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current

4. Minimum one year work experience in public contact job.

5. Work experience in health care preferred.
