Job summary

Team1Medical partners with a premier Urology clinic in the Houston Medical Center to hire a Medical Assistant II who will perform patient care and assist clerical staff. The position is in-office, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, temporary-to-hire with potential for long-term employment.

Responsibilities include escorting patients, taking medical histories, recording vital signs, maintaining charts, and assisting with procedures.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of Medical Assistant experience within a clinic/physician office setting is required.
• Must have obtained Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program.
• Must have completed High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in Urology or a specialty clinic is a strong plus.
• Experience with Epic is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Escorted patients to exam rooms, obtain medical history and measure vital signs.
• Educate and may give directions to patient regarding medication and treatment plan as instructed by physician or physician assistant.
• Maintained patient charts ensuring all related reports, labs and information are filed and available in patient records.
• Call in prescription refills.
• Assist with Urological procedures.
