Team1Medical's client in Houston is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care and assist clinical staff at a podiatry clinic. The role involves taking histories, vitals, and coordinating care under physician supervision.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm with weekly pay and eligibility for benefits. Prior clinic experience and a Medical Assistant diploma are preferred; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Formación

• 1 year or more of Medical Assistant experience within a clinic/physician office setting.
• Have obtained Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program.
• Experience in a specialty clinic is a strong plus.
• Must have completed High School Diploma or GED.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong plus.

• Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain medical history and measure vital signs.
• Educate patients and give directions regarding medications and treatment plans as instructed by physician or physician assistant.
• Maintain patient charts, ensure all labs and related reports are filed and available.
• Call in prescription refills.

One of the premier Podiatry clinics is seeking a Medical Assistant who will perform patient care and assist clerical and clinical staff.

Responsibilities:

• Escort ed patient s to exam rooms, obtain medical history and measures vital signs.
• Educated and may give directions to patient regarding medication and treatment plan as instructed by physician or physician assistant
• Maintained patient charts ensuring all related reports, labs and information is filed and available in patient records.
