Job summary

Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. in Lancaster, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant I to provide basic nursing care under supervision in the Primary Care clinic. You will interview patients, assist with exams, collect data, and support treatment plans.

Position requires a CA-approved MA program and may require prior MA experience or internship with Tarzana TT Centers. Flexible schedule Tue–Sat with benefits including medical, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; completion of a CA-approved Medical Assistant program; Phlebotomy certificate a plus.
3 months to 1 year of MA experience in a doctor's office, clinic, hospital, or internship with Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc.

Responsibilities

Interview, screen, and perform health assessments per established protocols.
Record observations reflecting nursing care and patient progress.
Assist in formulation of treatment plans.
Provide basic nursing care and patient assistance in procedures.
Prepare patients for and assist during examinations and procedures.
Collect patient data including height, weight, temperature, pulse, respiration, and BP; basic info on conditions.
