Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Primary Care Clinic in California. You will perform health assessments, assist with treatment plans, and handle patient preparation for examinations under supervision.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, basic in-office tests, administrative duties, and responding to emergencies. A High School Diploma or GED and CA-approved MA program completion are required; 3 months to 1 year in a medical setting is

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a California-approved Medical Assistant program.
• Phlebotomy certificate is a plus.
• 3 months to 1 year experience in a doctor’s office or clinic setting.

Responsabilidades

• Interview, screen, and perform health assessments per established protocols.
• Record observations reflecting nursing care and patient progress.
• Assist in formulation of treatment plans.
• Apply and remove bandages and dressings; adjust orthotics and crutches as needed.
• Perform ophthalmic testing not requiring interpretation.
• Remove sutures or staples from superficial incisions or lacerations.
• Perform ear lavage to clear cerumen.
• Collect specimens by non-invasive methods for testing.
• Assist patients in ambulation and transfers.
• Prepare patients for exams or procedures and assist clinicians.
• Provide patient information and instructions as authorized by a physician.
• Record patient data including vital signs and basic health information.
• Perform simple in-office laboratory and screening tests.
• Cut nails on healthy patients.
• Administer first aid and CPR in emergencies.
• Front office duties: phones, scheduling, computer input, patient relations.
• Order medical supplies and keep rooms stocked.
• Identify possible infections and initiate standard precautions.
• Administer waived tests and maintain training.
